Welcome to Daytona Toyota

At Daytona Toyota, we’re very proud to be a part of the Toyota family. Not only because we get to sell and lease some of the best vehicles on the market. Not just because we love providing our customers near Daytona Beach, Palm Coast, and Ormond Beach, Florida, with fine-tuned automotive services. But because Toyota has always had values that are in the right place.

We’re happy to announce that Toyota Motor North America, Inc. has achieved top 10 rankings on the DiversityInc 2020 Top 50 Companies for Diversity. This shows that when it comes to diversity and inclusion, Toyota goes above and beyond to create an inspiring and encouraging workplace for everyone.

DiversityInc Top 50 Companies for Diversity

DiversityInc’s Top 50 is the leading assessment of diversity management in corporate America. Each year, they look closely at big businesses and how they evolve and adapt to diversity, inclusion, and related outcomes. As the inclusion of all races, ethnicities, and genders is crucial in every company, they highlight only the best to serve as an influence and testament to good values.

Toyota has found themselves on this coveted list since 2013 and has moved up 38 spots to make the top 10 in 2020. This year, Toyota ranks at number 10 and is the only automotive manufacturer in the top 10. Working hard to build and strengthen partnerships with those who have the same goal, Toyota strives to create a more inclusive society, a highly important attribute now more than ever.

Hallmarks of Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) at Toyota

There are many ways Toyota has become a more diverse company that includes all races, genders, and ethnicities.

Strong Values: One of the foundational pillars of Toyota is Continuous Improvement and Respect for People. This allows innovation through inclusion, respecting, valuing, and acknowledging a diverse workplace, which is what freedom is all about.

D&I Mindset: Toyota and their Executive Diversity and Inclusion Council work closely with the Diversity Advisory Board to cultivate a diverse and inclusive mindset, especially when it comes to leadership. In fact, 33 percent of senior executives at Toyota also serve on the boards of multicultural organizations.

Team Member-Driven: Employees at Toyota take pride in volunteering and assist in many organizations focused on helping LGBTQ+, minorities, women, veterans, and people with disabilities. More than 200 Toyota team members have become D&I Champions since 2018 as well, having completed a program that teaches how to combine diversity and inclusion in all departments.

Business Partnerships: Toyota has been committed to changing D&I in the workplace and not just their own. The Toyota Opportunity Exchange has been running strong for over 30 years, helping diverse suppliers. They also spend more than $3 billion with certified minority and women-owned businesses annually.
